Bearmon Posted September 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2017 This recently went unsold on Ebay starting bid 99 dollars. I thought it would go at the last minute. So is it good?
David Minton Posted September 9, 2017 Share #2 Posted September 9, 2017 Looks good to me, there just is a very small market for it. Its post WWII, while still being a high ticket item for Navy rates.
KurtA Posted September 9, 2017 Share #3 Posted September 9, 2017 It's good. Probably would have sold at around $75.

0bx Posted September 9, 2017 Share #5 Posted September 9, 2017 Just post-WW2 but still a very desirable rate for Navy collectors. The Underwater Mechanic rating was never officially activated and as a result is quite difficult to find. Per John Stacey's book, the rating had an effective date of 02 April 1948 but was replaced with Specialist Rating "M" on 09 June 1948. This rate used to go for well over $100, but as Bearmon said, prices seem to be dropping. fritz
