I picked this up at an antique store. It didn't cost a lot and I figured it was worth the risk.

My gut tells me that it is not ACW period. It is certainly LIGHTER, THINNER and SMALLER than my legit ACW sword belt plates.

But I am still open to opinions.

Looks like a good 1851 pattern to me.
