dbursiel Posted August 31, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2017 I am new to this forum and I need help. I just picked up an Ithaca M1911A1. I am trying to find the shipping information from it. I not have the Clawson book and the Ithaca records links I've found don't seem to be working. Can anyone tell me any information about it? I was able to find it was made in 1943. SN 1448691 Thanks in advance, Don

thorin6 Posted September 1, 2017 Share #4 Posted September 1, 2017 Based on the Ithaca records in Clawson's book, it was a third contract pistol, shipped early May, 1944 either to Ogden Arsenal, Utah or Benicia Ordnance Depot, California on May 9, 10, 12 or 17. The records aren't any clearer than that.
