airborne53 Posted August 28, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 28, 2017 hello someone known this tactical marking on hbt jacket ? ww2 pacific army unit thanks olivier
QED4 Posted August 29, 2017 Share #2 Posted August 29, 2017 Is it the camera angle that makes the shape so odd? If it is actually a square then it is 5th Div, 27th Regt. 3rd Bn Co I. The 3 may or may not be part of it but if it is then it belongs to a Sgt, the E I have no idea. If the shape is actually as it appears in the picture then it may be something else. This information can be found in the book Grunt Gear by Alec Tulkoff.

blitz67 Posted December 4, 2017 Share #11 Posted December 4, 2017 The "732" in the box is for the 2nd or 5th Marine Division, 7th Reg, 3rd Batt,. 2nd Company, Could be off a little on the numbers. Maybe a Marine borrowed an Army shirt or vice versa. Do you have a picture of the front of the jacket? Looks like Marine HBT to me, but I could be wrong

Blacksmith Posted December 4, 2017 Share #15 Posted December 4, 2017 They are not Marine, and it's not UNIS. Follow the lines in the HBT weave, and you can see it's not camera angle. It is a stenciled trapezoid. I just noticed you called it Army these markings are Marine.
