MECHINF-A15 Posted August 22, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 22, 2017 Hello Folks, I myself feel very fortunate to obtain in the late 1990s at an Antique Show held at the now long gone Astrohall in Houston, Texas a part of the estate of one PFC Louis N. Schnider, Serial number 14080913. Mr. Schnider who was born in 1917 was a skilled compositor and typesetter in civilian life but enlisted on February 3, 1942 into the Army of the United States. I do believe he was originally trained as a tank crew member as his early photos show that but at some point in time in the ETO he landed a safer "gig" as a photographer in the 7th Armored Division. There are several hundred photographs in this grouping along with a couple of his patches and 7th AD newspaper clippings. As I would like to share all this with you it may take me some time to scan all this so I will do this in batches. Here is batch number 1. Portrait shot of PFC Schnider with Photographer U.S. Army patch.
