This dress/parade coatee belonged to Sam Houston Wiseman, he was from Texas. He joined the 6th Cavalry Regt in 1926 at Ft Oglethorpe in Georgia, applied for West Point in 1927 and attended pre-school. He entered West Point in 1928. Graduated in 1932 as Captain of Company K. He married a gal from San Antonio in 1933. He attended flight training and graduated in 1935 and was assigned to March Field, 17th Pursuit Grp. He became sick and after a 6 month treatment, he died in 1940 as a 1st Lt. He is buried along with his wife at the Presidio National Cemetery. The tarbucket was not his but it is from the same era.
The coatee, pistol badge and the 1932 Howitzer Book belonged to him.
I have been unable to find out what troop he was assigned while with the 6th Cav nor the sickness that he died from. This caotee and book came from one of his son's estate sale.
as soon as I can resize the other photos I have, I will update this threat.
Thanks
