Issue of M43 uniform to specific units during WWII

I was wondering if there's a way to find out at what time the M43 uniform was issued to specific units in the ETO? I know that the army started replacing the old uniforms for the new M43 in late 1944, but can this be determined more specific?

On the continent, photographic evidence points to elmts of the 29th and 83rd Infantry Divisions getting them sometime in late August.

Then there was both the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions around the same time in England.

Would this be army specific? As the 29th and 83rd were both 3rd army units at that time? (I believe)

I've also seen a photo of a soldier of the 6th armored division wearing an m43 field jacket in August 44. The 6th ad was also in the 3rd army then.

Government Issue

The 3rd infantry division was given the uniform on a trial basis during Anzio and the FSSF also used the uniform at that same time.

On March 28th, 1944, elements of the 30th Infantry Regiment, including the entire 1st Battalion, received a QM test batch of 5,000 M43 boots and M43 jackets, with a smaller number of pants. By May 1944 the boots can be seen trickling into other regiments of the 3rd Infantry Division. The jackets are seen with all regiments of the 3rd ID beginning in about October 1944.

That would also apply to the U.S. made small mesh helmet nets too correct?

The so called "3rd Div" Square mesh nets talked about in this recent topic.

No, that was a separate thing not included in the QM M43 gear test. Shrimp net can also be found with lots of other 5th Army units at that time.
