I am doing another colorization project and Col Barber has a a park and some other things that could use this colorization project.

What is the name of this jacket so that I can pull correct color specs?

Thanks in advance.

Here is one colorization, maybe even a real color photo too. Would he truly be a major or LTC?

The colorized photo has him as a major.

FT.Monmouth1943

Just an observation, the photo appears to be a real color photo as opposed to colorized. If your going to colorize the other, I would match it exactly to this one.

Here's his WIKI, rank given at time of action for MOH is Captain, so this portrait, which we assume was made at the time of medal presentation, would see Barber as a Major, Major, promoted July 1952, MOH presentation by Harry S, at the White House, August 1952, at that time Barber was Exec of the 1st Recruit Training Battalion, USMCRD San Diego, a Major's slot.

.

Also it was very common for most MOH recipients during this period, before (WWII) and after (Vietnam), to be jumped a grade, this applying to both living and posthumous recipients.

Thanks, I was thinking this also but wanted confirmation from someone that knows much more than I.

It only takes 2 seconds to correct the colors as I am building many layers in photoshop. Cannot wait to get to the ribbons. At the end I will be a filter on it to tie all of the colors in. This is only 10% done and looks 90% aweful but it will get better.
