Vincennes Posted August 13, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2017 Here is an interesting letter from the Red Cross in France in June, 1945 to a soldier also in France. All the APO numbers are in France in June, 1945. I think the " Avenue Francois Premiere" mentioned in the letter is in Paris. I assume the soldier got his camera back. RustyCanteen Posted August 13, 2017 Share #2 Posted August 13, 2017 Interesting find; hope he got it back. Have you found out what unit he was with? My information doesn't give a precise location in France for APO 803, just that it was re-established June 20, 1945 in Bad Neustadt, Germany. So it was cutting it close to when they moved. I believe 887 was a general APO for Paris, but I did not look it up.
