GUMP Posted August 11, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 11, 2017 Check out these interesting medallions, recently pulled out of the Virginia "woodwork." It was not easy to find information about these items, but I did manage to find reference to them here: http://www.afrigeneas.com/forum-military/index.cgi/md/read/id/3988/sbj/371st-regiment-medallion/
GUMP Posted August 11, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted August 11, 2017 Here's an additional photograph with flash, which makes it a little easier to read the words on the medallions.
TheMariner Posted August 11, 2017 Share #3 Posted August 11, 2017 Ive seen this fairly often lately! Seem there must be a good number out there! Another seller i know came up with 5x of these in excellent condition! They were all sold between $85-$105 each! They must have been fairly successful with there sales because they are uncommon but certainly not rare! They are a pretty cool piece though! GUMP Posted August 12, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted August 12, 2017 This is a picture of the actual monument to the 371st Infantry Regiment, near the towns of Ardeuil and Sechault in France. It was damaged by artillery fire during World War Two and never repaired...
