stratasfan Posted August 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 9, 2017 Just thought I'd share this, as this is one I'd never heard of. My Sister and I collect old song sheets from the 1930s, 1940s, and early 1950s. A few for the covers, but mostly because we actually want to play the songs. I was paging through a stack of these "Army Hit Kit of Popular Songs" that I have, and found this very cool song in the January 1944 issue. "Soldiers of God" (The Official Chaplain's March). Thought some of you might enjoy seeing it, as I don't remember ever seeing this one before in all my WWII songs, and you don't often get Chaplain related stuff! Chap15 Posted August 12, 2017 Share #2 Posted August 12, 2017 So very very cool. If you go on youtube you can hear Bing Crosby singing this song for the first time, Easter 1944. So very cool. Thanks for sharing.
