TheGrayGhost Posted August 5, 2017 Share #3 Posted August 5, 2017 Nice find. Can't tell what the writing is on the first two, but they are definitely WWII. The large one looks like a repurposed WWII first aid pouch.

ccyooper Posted August 20, 2017 Share #5 Posted August 20, 2017 I would say the two wwii type pouches appear to be late 40's and were normally issued with the 49 to early 50's dated superior lensatic compass. They appear to have the slant fabric trim and heavily waxed stiff bodies. The larger compass/first aid pouch is a Vietnam era pouch based upon the date and contract information. Justin Posted September 6, 2017 Share #6 Posted September 6, 2017 Its a vietnam era compass pouch as can be seen in use by officers during the early stages of Vietnam. The first aid pouches of this time period had the slide clips.
