Compass Pouches

Hi Folks: I've been looking for a compass pouch for awhile ....and when I attended a local estate sale....I found these in a bottom of a plastic bucket....so I grabbed them These are some markings (unit?) on the front of the WWII type and the larger has US Army contract info

Nice find. Can't tell what the writing is on the first two, but they are definitely WWII. The large one looks like a repurposed WWII first aid pouch.

I would say the two wwii type pouches appear to be late 40's and were normally issued with the 49 to early 50's dated superior lensatic compass. They appear to have the slant fabric trim and heavily waxed stiff bodies. The larger compass/first aid pouch is a Vietnam era pouch based upon the date and contract information.

Its a vietnam era compass pouch as can be seen in use by officers during the early stages of Vietnam. The first aid pouches of this time period had the slide clips.
