Allan H. Posted August 2, 2017 Share #4 Posted August 2, 2017 Meyerplate was a gold plate put on various badges and insignia. It was a plating method to which Meyer owned the patent. The biggest difference being the thickness of the plating. Meyer sold insignia in varying degrees of quality to include rolled plate (rolled gold- which is a very thin plate) to Meyerplate, which was their higher level of quality.
