Vincennes Posted July 29, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 29, 2017 Right after WW2 a company called Official Photos Co. in Hollywood produced about 112 sets of photographs by Official Military Photographers. Each set had 20 actual photos measuring 4x5". They originally sold for $1.20 per set or 6 cents per photo. They are all amazing photos and well worth buying when you find them. I have 9 of the sets (only 103 to go!). Today at the flea market I bought 3 sets: Coast Guard set #200 Central Pacific; Marine set #11 New Georgia Operations; and Navy set #140 Philippine Area Action, at $10 per set. Below I reproduce 4 of the photos from the Coast Guard Set. Paul
