Siamundo Posted July 23, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 23, 2017 I have seen this style of patch from a couple of different US Navy ships that were made it this same exact pattern and was just wondering if anyone had any insight as to when these were made and/or worn? The design for different patches is basically the same with the silhouette of the ship changed depending on what type of ship it was and some have the hull number designation at the bottom and some do not. I was also curious as to if these patches were actually worn by US Navy personnel or if they are more souvenir type patches in nature.

We've now posted all three of the Des Moines class heavy cruisers on this topic (Des Moines, Salem and Newport News) The open question remains, does anyone know who is the manufacturer of this style patch?
