Robswashashore Posted July 17, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 17, 2017 The US Navy submarine S-4 sunk in December 1927 off Provincetown, Mass. A massive, but ultimately unsuccessful, rescue attempt was undertaken. Here diver Master Gunner Thomas Eadie, who was awarded a Medal of Honor for his actions in saving another diver who was trapped on the wreck, prepares to descend from the USS Falcon. ArtyScout Posted July 25, 2017 Share #9 Posted July 25, 2017 Nice job Jean. Great subject matter too. This reminds me of the movie "Men of Honor" with Robert DeNiro and Cuba Gooding Jr. An excellent portrayal of the rigors of training and dangerous work that these Navy Rescue divers did. Semper Fi.
