milsurp_scout_14 Posted July 17, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 17, 2017 Got these in the mail yesterday. Both contract dated 1968. Lightweight ruck has both paper instructions and some sewn into the lid. Tropical ruck has paper folded in the lid. Couldn't believe they were in this great of condition! Is it common for the markings on the lightweight ruck to be printed on the inside of the lid, making them appear backwards like that? I have an earlier version that has them right side 'round. mrrm Posted July 22, 2017 Share #5 Posted July 22, 2017 Both of those rucksacks are very nice examples. The instructions sheet for the tropical ruck is seldom found.
Bluehawk Posted July 23, 2017 Share #6 Posted July 23, 2017 And now, if we could ONLY find the instruction sheet for that pack loop we've been speculating about for months!
