I pick this one up a few months ago from a fellow forum member . Not something I usually collect, but it was too nice to passs up. Grouping is named all to the same woman and came out of an estate sale in Oklahoma. Her name is Marie A. S t a b l e r. Her maiden or married name might have been Reddington. Haven't been able to find anything with the standard google searches. Hope you enjoy seeing the group. I don't have a really good reference on female uniforms in World War II so any information you have would be appreciated.

Ok here's the skirt, one in each pattern. Green stripes are slightly larger and constructions differs. Tag in 2nd skirt.

This one I'm not quite sure about. I'm not sure it's military but it has her name in it . Again my resource material on female military uniforms is limited. What say you? Thanks so much.

I will look thru my reference books to make sure but I do not believe the white shirt at the bottom is military. The fact that is has no collar at all makes me think it is civilian.

I believe your Marine is Marie Ann S t a b l e r, S/N 758237 born 20 Mar 1923 in Waterford, VA , died 25 Jan 2010 Edmond, OK. She seems to have been in the Marines from about Jul 1943 to Aug 45 (maybe later) and stationed mostly at Cherry Point and then Quantico. She married Owen Wayne P a r s o n s on 30 Aug 1945.

There is a family tree for her on Ancestry.

With her brother:

You were very lucky to get such a nice grouping! I believe the dress white blouse was altered to wear in civilian life. The collar, bottom pockets, and epaulettes were removed and the sleeves shortened. The dress green blouse was also modified to wear after "The Duration" of World War II. This was not at all uncommon.
