Another compass found

This compass was also found on my FILs workbench.  I am assuming WW2 on this one but again no date is stamped on it.  He wasn't a collector just never thru anything way.  Again any info is appreciated.

Yes ii is WWII manufacturer (although it could be issued later from old stock)  It's an Engineers wrist compass, missing the leather strap

Had a leather wrist band, used by Paratroopers as well as others.

look again for a date, on mine it's around the rim of the compass body and is very faint.

Lots of these sold as surplus after the war and used by Boy Scouts and for camping etc.

Nice compass! I always wondered, is that exposed radium paint on these compasses? If so, I would use caution...
