URIK Posted July 15, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2017 I picked up this early Firestone liner last week. It was originally painted black with a gold "K" front and center, and someone screwed some "antennas" to the side of it. I stuck it in the sand blaster on a low pressure setting with fine silica, and was able to remove nearly all of the black paint, exposing the original factory O.D. and the artwork. This method was extremely successful. As to the liner, I'm not sure when the swastika with red and yellow marks were applied. My guess is some kids used it to play war games with.
