gwb123 Posted July 1, 2017 Share #3 Posted July 1, 2017 This is simply an educated guess...the program that introduced F-5 jet fighters was code named Skoshi Tiger. This could have been for a tech rep for that project.

hink441 Posted July 1, 2017 Share #5 Posted July 1, 2017 In Naval Aviation, the term Tiger Team was used to describe a group of technicians, metal smiths, mechanics who were sent to sea to assist the forward deployed fleet assets. Usually these teams were from the Naval Aviation Depots, or from the actual Aircraft manufacturer, and sometimes a combination of both. The tiger teams would take on the depot level repairs at sea if possible. They fixed the hard stuff that couldn't normally be fixed by the squadron's or the intermediate level maintenance personnel. I think this is a patch from a technical assistance Tiger Team.
