Red Devil Posted June 24, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2017 I recently discovered several items from my grandfather's service. He served in the Air Force in the early 1950s, in the Civil Air Patrol either before or after his AF service, and from the documents I found it looks like he was in the AF Reserves starting in 1953. This cap was found and I would like to find a badge to complete it. The side buttons appear to be National Aero Reserve. I am not sure, though, if this is the same as the Air Force Reserve referenced in his paperwork. There is an impression of a pinned badge on the front (seems to be rounded at the bottom). Can anyone help identify what would have been on here? My first thought was the round Air Force enlisted eagle, but I've never seen one without the screw post. Any help or research direction would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Red Devil Posted June 24, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted June 24, 2017 The front, and I traced what appears to be the impression area of the badge. I tried manipulating the image but it wouldn't show very well.
