digi-shots Posted June 22, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 22, 2017 I'm looking for a little help here in determining the pattern of these tiger pants. The fly area has a green inner flap(similar to a gas flap on utility jackets), and the pockets have netting for water drainage. They came from a US Navy veteran. Thanks! digi-shots Posted June 23, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted June 23, 2017 Here's a full shot of the pants... front and back, including an "erdl" repair on the seat!
Klaxon Posted June 23, 2017 Share #3 Posted June 23, 2017 This is a rare and fantastic bird. Jacket and trousers discussed back in early 2012 here in post #618....... http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/161456-tiger-stripes-part-ii/page-25 The jacket in the above post has the Defense Personal Supply Center QM label so pretty sure they're legit. digi-shots Posted June 23, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted June 23, 2017 Thanks guys! I went back to post #618 and noticed that the front right leg is identical... same stripes and position on the fabric - almost looks like the same pair of pants, except the left leg fabric stripes don't line up. I know fabric patterns repeat themselves every so many inches... can't believe the right leg is the same. I'll check and see when and where he served.. pretty sure it was during Vietnam. Two other items came from him... an Australian canteen (broad arrow marked) and an Australian rain coat smock. The rain coat is posted in another thread. VMI88 Posted June 23, 2017 Share #6 Posted June 23, 2017 I've never seen netting in the pockets of tiger fatigues - is that a modification or an original feature?
digi-shots Posted June 23, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted June 23, 2017 I've never seen netting in the pockets of tiger fatigues - is that a modification or an original feature? There's a link in post #3 above... and mentions another pair of these tiger pants with identical tiger pattern that also have net pockets. My guess is the net allowed water to drain.
