Suspect listing for militia jacket.

Saw a listing. Looked very suspect but as I'm not the expert I brought it to you guys. This was labeled a militia coat from he 1870s. Just curious if anyone recognizes anything.

Thanks a bunch. I don't really doubt the age of the jacket more the nature of it. Doesn't look like any militia jacket I've seen. The lining or the cuffs or anything.

There is an endless variety of such military style uniforms from late 1800's. More often than not, it's impossible to ID them.

I have to agree with Kurt, lots of factories/clubs/other organizations had bands and other groups that used these style jackets in this time period. Will be very hard to nail down the specifics on this jacket.
