This came out of a Northern California flea market yesterday. The story was the man was medical, but there was nothing with it. Marked fire bronze and looks like a 1926 pattern to me. However, I thought that applied rope was only for officer and the continents on this piece do not look to be separately applied. I've search the reference section and the interwebs, but I've been unable to find anything. Am I missing something? Is it officer or enlisted? Am I correct, 1926 pattern? Any thoughts? Thanks ABN

That's an Officer's EGA, it's very nice.  The EGA experts will chime in shortly.  Nice find.

Nice 20s era pattern. Exemplary design and construction typical of the period prior to the Great Depression when crap materials and workmanship became the standard for the day.

Nothing to add to Darrell's comment other than congrats. That's a very fine EGA.
