Here is a nicely named flight helmet and patched flyers bag. Patches appear to be Vietnam era through Desert Storm. Research indicates the veteran served with the 189th Assault Helicopter Company "Ghostriders" and "Avengers" as a door gunner and served with the 24th AHB. I don't know the date or model of the helmet. The veteran was a past VFW Commander and a Patriot Rider.

Any idea what the skull with number thirteen and crossbones patch on the helmet bag represents and what era it's from?? Neat grouping.

Novelty patch.13 is 13th letter of the alphabet,"M" usually representing marijuana.More of a biker thing than aviation.

Kinda neat how he used the earphone cup spacers to keep the visor locking track up off the helmet.Dymo tape has a date for its next inspection.Give you an idea of when used.

Reminds me of the buccaneers patch but I have no info on origin.
