268th C.A. Posted June 13, 2017 Share #4 Posted June 13, 2017 I dont doubt it. I met a anti PH collector last week, We were talking. The subject came up. He said we were profiting off these medals. I explained how many of these were discarded by family's who had no interest or No family members surviving. And we were just care takers of the medals. It gave him a different perspective of collectors. But he was still convinced too many of us are making big profits off the medals. He said that his friend buys the Purple Hearts and returns them to the family. I said that's all well and good. But I had seen the family's get items back only to sell them again, or tell me straight out they wanted nothing to do with the medals or that family member that it had belonged too.
