Interesting patch for sure. I wonder if the combination of applique and printed ID indicates it is a patch used in more than one location.

I think it said 'A T S' and someone removed it, then marked it 'B C C'. Check out the rear stitching.

I think the ATS idea is not right. If indeed it does say ATS, why can you read it on the backside? Wouldn't the lettering be backwards on the back of a patch? In person I do not make out the ATS.

I flipped the image around so it could be read, but yes it will look backwards when actually holding it. There are old stitching holes from the letters, and even the square periods.

This is the original image in post #3, cropped and the stitch holes outlined. Since this is the back, it is backwards.
