268th C.A. Posted June 6, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 6, 2017 Remembering Pvt. John Hooper on D-Day. John Hooper landed on Omaha Beach in the second wave at 8:20 am on June 6th 1944. Every D-Day and in between I remember John as one who loved to share his experience's with who ever would take time to listen to his stories. John is buried in Dallas Fort Worth National cemetery. Just around the corner from my Dad. I always stop to say hello when I'm there. Some here on the forum will remember him from attending shows. God Bless and RIP. Pvt. iron bender Posted June 7, 2017 Share #3 Posted June 7, 2017 John was one cool guy and I miss him greatly. Had a lot of fun with him at Eagle Mountain Lake and Ft. Sill back in the day. His place in Joshua was undeniably interesting. Thanks for posting a remembrance op. I've got one of his German flags he brought back I'll need to post in the war loot section...
