Tonomachi Posted June 3, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 3, 2017 I picked up this named glider pilot wing on eBay which didn't go for a ridiculous amount of money which I've seen other unnamed examples sell for in the past. I was able to confirm that D. E. Gray is Douglas Elliott Gray 1917 - 1993 and that he was a glider pilot during WW2 through the records at the National WW2 Glider Pilot Association, Inc. This is also my first coin silver Juarez style glider pilot wing which has the larger elongated shield. His uniform had already been sold on eBay before this glider pilot wing was offered up for sale.
