Has anyone seen these in use.

I've just started preparing for a veterans day display for this coming November. I thought I would focus on Desert Shield/Desert Storm vets this year and as I was gathering up some of what I have I re-discovered this item. Has anyone ever seen this in use as I would only like to display items that would have actually been used by soldiers in theater.

Can't speak to this items use in DS/DS. I know I've picked up 2 or 3 in groupings from OEF Vets so I can say they've been used in the current war.

Thanks for the reply. It just looks like a piece of gear that a soldier might look at and say to themselves quizzicality "why was I issued this?" But regardless of if a soldier actually used it, as long as it was issued, I would like to include it my display.

Surprised that some history bent GI did not cut it up into a helmet net for the 21st century.

I was in DS/DS and I saw these in general use; mostly cut-up and used around the neck to keep out the sand. I may even have one, but I found one of the brown scarfs and cut it in half to use. I still have that.
