Lot of Dog Tags

Picked these up along with a few others.

 

What was odd is that there is so many to the same man?

Wasnt able to find any info on him but Im guess he was an Officer in WW2.

 

The WW1 tag has 501st.A.C.S. , not sure what that means...Usually Army Service Corp?

 

There is another ID tag named to a Bill with USMM S.S. Alabama...guess it was another relative?

USMM = US Merchant Marine??

 

Kinda learning this stuff on the fly....thanx for any help..

I did some more looking around and was unable to come up with any info on this Harry Richcreek.

It states that he was an USAAF officer during WWI and WWII so I'm pretty sure it's 501st Aero Construction Squadron.

I think you should request his files from St Louis as his service history must be very interesting...

The ww1 tag says "SERG'T" , would it be a big stretch to go from a Sgt to Col?
