Pbaczuk Posted May 28, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 28, 2017 I found this brass bullet letter opener yesterday at a junk shop. It is typical of brass letter openers that GIs would buy though it has swatstikas and an iron cross on it. I think GIs were suckers for this stuff at bazaars. 268th C.A. Posted May 28, 2017 Share #5 Posted May 28, 2017 Its an Iron Cross, they made stuff for the Germans as well, anything to make a buck! If you notice Afrika is spelled in German not Africa as in English. So this could have been taken from a German as well. Very cool item.

Brian Keith Posted May 29, 2017 Share #7 Posted May 29, 2017 Cool item, I would have bought in if I were there in '44. You should see the crap I sent home from Afghanistan. Like Doylar mentioned, nice touch with the setting NAZI sun. BKW
