beerdragon54 Posted May 25, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2017 Picked this up in a grouping from A Ww2 vet and some of his sons Vietnam stuff was in there. The center piece appears to have been a blue color that was cut out. What Era? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
PATCHRAT Posted May 25, 2017 Share #2 Posted May 25, 2017 looks like the tab was added; see stitches on either side. The tab is newer than the patch. Note the different background material.

Teamski Posted May 25, 2017 Share #4 Posted May 25, 2017 I would say your 101st patch is a 1950's era scribble eye eagle with a later 1960's era tab. -Ski
gwb123 Posted May 25, 2017 Share #5 Posted May 25, 2017 This might be fine. Keep in mind that older issue patches sometimes lingered in the back shelves of supply rooms and tailor shops years after they were issued. It was probably an older patch married up with a newer tab at some point, and none of the soldiers who wore them paid a bit of attention to it.
