390th BG KIA tag

Came across this and initial searches led to a pilot who was KIA with the 390th BG 570rh SQ</strong></p>

This is an early tag and it seems to be his enlisted tag prior to becoming an officer.

I have an account of a crew member from a down aircraft where he was killed by civilians.They tried the man post war.

A lot of conjecture about what happened, and his remains are still missing and none of the crew witnessed his body. A post war story of the event notes that one crewman saw his parachute still on the seat of the a/c - so its even possible he jumped without one. A high strung individual on his first mission, so anything is possible...
