ParanormalTrooper Posted May 22, 2017 Share #6 Posted May 22, 2017 Yep, looks to be a blown or spun pattern M1910 canteen with the flat cap, Pre WWI Nice find, these are fairly hard to find!
jprostak Posted May 22, 2017 Share #7 Posted May 22, 2017 This canteen can be as early as the spring of 1911. If you can see the threads on the inside of the spout, it's no later than June of 1912. If the inside of the neck is smooth, June 1912 to October 1913.

jprostak Posted May 23, 2017 Share #11 Posted May 23, 2017 It all came from bits and pieces of info from hundreds of boxes of correspondence. None of it is available online.
Pep Posted May 23, 2017 Share #12 Posted May 23, 2017 Lot's of original research at the National Archives. Lot's is an understatement. I for one know how hard and how much time you put in with this info. A debit I can never repay.
