lakenormanusa Posted May 22, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 22, 2017 I was looking at the reverse stitching on this overseas hat and saw what appeared to be some remnant of the fabric. Upon closer inspection however, I determined it was a small feather that had been inserted into the material behind the patch. Not a monumental discovery, but it's interesting that the owner mounted a feather inside of a glider hat and it's still there after 70+ years. Was this a common practice by glider troops?
