firefighter Posted May 19, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 19, 2017 This would have been worn on a back pocket of a pair of jeans.
patches Posted May 23, 2017 Share #2 Posted May 23, 2017 interesting, Fran Mar made Greeting Cards and Gifts. (I think they're Still around?) Notice the identical portrayals. https://www.google.com/search?q=fran+mar+greeting+cards&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjrm6On_oTUAhVFvRoKHeV7BakQsAQIPQ&biw=1366&bih=634 Where this was worn??? Probably a shirt pocket, if it fact that's what it is, it maybe is just a patch that coincidentally is shaped like a pocket? Fran Mar doesn't appear to have been a Radical Rabid Anti War Organization that would make pants with pockets on the back of images of GIs, so you can sit on them, if you know what I mean

I get your meaning. I think it is too big for a shirt pocket, that's why I was thinking a back pocket on a pair of pants.
patches Posted May 24, 2017 Share #4 Posted May 24, 2017 Well it's possible Fran Mar jumped a bit on the band wagon of early 70s war exhaustion, in example, like the Doonesbury cartoons, not overly anti Serviceman or Pro Commie, but "Just Telling It Like It Is Man!" Now MAD Magazine was out there, My LAI, Drug use etc etc, but don't think Fran Mar had that in mind.
