ziomanno Posted May 18, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2017 Dear collectors, I've been offered with this nice holster... maybe too nice? I browsed the reference section page, and at a glance everything looks correct to me, but I'm very very far from being an expert on these items, so I'd like to have your knowledgeable opinion. ziomanno Posted May 18, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted May 18, 2017 This is a close up of the maker's markings: Boyt 42. Inside it is unmarked, still having the wooden insert for the tight fit of the 1911. Excuse the pics quality, are taken by cell camera in hurry. Thanks in advance, Marzio
tarheeltim Posted May 18, 2017 Share #3 Posted May 18, 2017 Looks good to me. I can't say I've ever seen a repro holster with Boyt markings. The verdigris on the rivets indicates it's been around awhile.
Blacksmith Posted May 18, 2017 Share #4 Posted May 18, 2017 Nice early Boyt, no problem there.
TrenchRat Posted May 18, 2017 Share #5 Posted May 18, 2017 Still retains the leg tie string...not bad at all...
doyler Posted May 18, 2017 Share #6 Posted May 18, 2017 Original and nothing wrong or suspect. There would be no interior markings from the manufacturer.
ziomanno Posted May 18, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted May 18, 2017 Thanks to you all, I really appreciated your inputs. If I may ask, which could be an honest price? The seller is a friend of mine, and he too doesn't know much about this item: I don't want to steal it, nor to pay twice what it's worth. Prices seem to be very varying (ebay), I find quite hard to make a consistent offer.
