WW1 USN Medical Officers Uniform

 Share

Recommended Posts

Found this this past weekend, fairly nice WW1 USN medical officer's uniform, pretty sure the rank is Lt. JG, the Bullion Insignia is pretty nice and looks like he spent a year overseas by his stripes, I did a quick search but didn't come up with anything. This is the first WW1 Navy uniform I've ever come across, or at least I THINK it's WW1.

Hmm, I guess I'll have to resign up with Ancestry. Thanks for the comments guys, navy stuff is not really my thing but I had never seen an officers uniform from WW1 before and snagged it ?

There was a Robert Richard Wilde who was a WWI vet from PA, though I'm not sure if he's in the PA veterans cards....Died in 1942. You can access Ancestry for free via your local public library - I usually just go there to pull Ancestry.

All, just an FYI, I've decided to let this uniform go and have it listed in the for sale section.
