kanemono Posted May 13, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2017 Here is a Chinese student cap that was used in The Sand Pebbles movie. I have had this for years. There is a certificate from the movie studio that authenticates the cap. I have included some stills from the movie and some Yangtze Patrol items. sundance Posted May 13, 2017 Share #2 Posted May 13, 2017 Great items and I love that movie. The scene when they raise the flag before attacking the boom always gets the blood flowing.
Kurt Barickman Posted May 13, 2017 Share #3 Posted May 13, 2017 Yup, remember that student well from the movie and how it was Candace's favorite student and ironically Holman puts the axe in his stomach at the boom. Great stuff, Kurt

Thought it was high time I got a DVD copy of my own

oakleaf777 Posted May 19, 2017 Share #9 Posted May 19, 2017 Great to see someone preserving an original artiifact from one of the greatest movies ever. Nothing can beat Richard Crenna fighting in dress whites with a sword in one hand and a .45 in the other.

kammo-man Posted May 19, 2017 Share #12 Posted May 19, 2017 FYI This is NOT a prop. Its costume. owen
KASTAUFFER Posted May 19, 2017 Share #13 Posted May 19, 2017 If the hat was filmed sitting on a table rather than on someones head in the film then would it be a prop? It's semantics. Dick- Great item! Kurt
kanemono Posted May 20, 2017 Author Share #14 Posted May 20, 2017 Owen and Kurt, You are correct the cap is a costume not a prop. I have made hundreds of theatrical props over the last 40 years and I should know the difference. Sorry, I know most people wouldn't care but using proper terms is important.
