Looks ok to me.

Recall seeing similiar squadron done on that material.Even own a couple that have the designation on the card its on.

I want to say they were called "leatherettes" and you could buy them from patch king type catalogs. They always has the unit designation underneath

They are not real squadron patches but copies made to look like leatherette based patches.They are a paper product and as stated were sold by patch king and hobby guild.When I had my shop I bought a box of 150 from a surplus store and some of them were damaged.When they are torn you can see that it is like a thin paper based cardboard material.They are neat but are not period leather squadron insignia that could be sewn to a jacket.Scotty

Thank you OCS & BILL. I never thought it was an original but couldn't figure out exactly what it was. It always felt really thin and frail to be a jacket insignia.
