Costa Posted May 11, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2017 here is something I have wanted to ask till now------------ the only 5 cell pouches I have seen were the USMC marked. haven't seen one for the army. here is a U.S. marked pouch with no date unissued. 1st, is it a good pouch?? 2nd, has any one seen a dated pouch used for the army ww2??? tarheeltim Posted May 11, 2017 Share #4 Posted May 11, 2017 The ones I've seen have the maker mark and date on the inside of the belt loop. Have you looked in there?
Jumpin Jack Posted May 11, 2017 Share #5 Posted May 11, 2017 Yours' appears to be period original. If you look inside the large belt opening, you should find the manufacturer and date. Jack

iron bender Posted May 12, 2017 Share #9 Posted May 12, 2017 Nice original 5 cell pouch OP! USMC 3 cell pouches were stamped on reverse, not sure about army though. I think this one may be lend/lease and stamped later.
