Phfly1010 Posted May 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 8, 2017 I am told that World War II fighter pilots War the general Army service shoe as one option. Was there a Army Air corps version of the Army service shoe or were they wearing the same shoe product that members of the US Army war? Am considering bidding on the following item locally. Just want to make sure that this would be authentically something that will War Two fighter pilots would have worn weather in the European theater or the Pacific Theater. Any comments preciate it. Thank you.
Bebel Posted May 8, 2017 Share #2 Posted May 8, 2017 I beleive that you can bid on these ones. Yes, USAAF crews were wearing the US Army shoes when they didn't use specific flight shoes as A-6 or other ones. It was the same in Korea where they were wearing 1948 US Army boots.
