Akron, OH - 1 Day Military Show Sunday Oct. 29, 2017
Posted 01 October 2017 - 05:22 PM
It started as an off the cuff comment and a "Screw it, let's do it" moment. We've come a long way in just two years. From 72 tables at an Auction House to 184 in a Military Museum. A lot of people have worked hard and helped the show thrive and grow. I owe them all a debt of gratitude. Many, many Thanks to all.
Come out this month and see how we've grown. Lots of great vendors and collectors not to mention one of the best military museums in NE Ohio. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I'm very happy to announce that WW2 Combat Veteran Sgt. Robert "Bud" Sabetay will once again be joining us at the show this month. He will be signing copies of his book and speaking with visitors. We are truly honored to have him attend.

Cool! Is he the 90th div man?
Yes, it is. One Tough Hombre!

All set for the show. Time has flown by. Hard to believe it is coming up so fast. This is one of my favorite shows. Always fun to do, and one of the shortest drive times for me. About and hour away for me. I would recommend this show to anyone. Quality dealers with top shelf for sale items. Selling has always been good also. Scott puts on a class act, and the venue for this military show is outstanding. Having the attached museum to the show is just another added bonus. See everyone at the show. Dave

For those of you not familiar with the area. Look for the P-51 Mustang gate guard and the big banners at the intersection of International Parkway & State Route 241(Massillon Rd). The smaller banner will be at the main entrance to the museum. The arrowed signs will be at all the major routes into the area. For GPS / Mapping purposes here's the address to use: 2260 International Parkway, North Canton, OH 44720.

Had a good show, and an even greater time. Good to see Robert, and all of the other guys who traveled a ways to get there. The show venue with all of the Aviation stuff in the hanger, and the two Museums on site really puts you in the mood for a Military show. Just a great location and a good time had by all. The new museum opened upstairs was a great addition. There were 7 Medal of Honor displays honoring local Veterans going back to the Civil War. Already looking forward to the next show in April. It was a little chilly with the hanger door open for load/unloading, but it couldn't get any easier to set up. You literally backed your vehicle up and were 10 to maybe 75 feet at most from your tables. Hats off to Scott for the great job of promoting and running the show. He really does a super job as the Promoter.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again in a few days at the OVMS show in Wilmington, Oh. Dave

Ditto the previous two comments.
There were more younger collectors there than you would usually see. I speculate that the high profile annual D-day reenactment in Conneaut might be part of the cause....but no matter....it's great to see.
Great show. Looking forward to the next one.

After a solid nine hours of uninterrupted sleep, a look at the stats and a hot cup of joe. I can happily declare the Fall 2015 North Coast Military Collectors Show a success.
