stan99 Posted May 6, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 6, 2017 How can I resize and post a pic of the following? Can anyone give me details on this gas mask? I think I have it pinned down to the 1940's to 1960's, but I'm not sure the country of origin, if it is military, if so what branch, is it civilian, year, wars it may have been designed for / used in, etc.

ken88 Posted May 7, 2017 Share #5 Posted May 7, 2017 WWII era British civilian gas mask... Commonly used during air raids. I'll see if I can find a picture. Edit:
ken88 Posted May 7, 2017 Share #6 Posted May 7, 2017 Btw you should definitely post the numbers to figure out the date. In British gas masks they tend to be on the patch connecting the elastic stretchers.

earlymb Posted May 7, 2017 Share #8 Posted May 7, 2017 This topic will probably be closed due to non-US equipment, but I suggest the War Relics Forum to get all the info on this mask that you want.
Bodes Posted May 15, 2017 Share #9 Posted May 15, 2017 The date will be stamped in white below the left lens near the rubber plug....Definitely a WW2 British civilian model....Relatively common, but yours appears to be in pretty decent condition.....$35 tops....Bodes
