E-Tool Carrier Maker ID

Estate sale find along with its mate, a common Ames 1945, but having most all of the original paint. I have searched both hard copy and on line and cannot ID this maker, plus I've never seen the stock number in with the maker's name in a WW2 era E-Tool carrier. It reads:

 

CARRIER, SHOVEL, INTR. M-1943

STOCK NO. 74-C-167

WESTLAND SHOE CO.

1945

 

Looks legit to me, but I defer to my expert friends on the Forum.

Thanks 'Flage Guy. I did just find an in depth article about the carrier on the 100th Infantry Division (Reenacted) facebook page by doing a search on just the stock number. It is legit. I still can't find anything about the maker.

Yeah, it's right as rain! I think that's the first time I've ever seen a '45-dated piece of field gear which has the full read-out, stock number and all.

That right there makes it desirable in my book. All the others I've seen just have the maker name and year, and that's it.
