I admit I'm a little slow at times. So here goes, About a year ago I arranged to buy some patches from a guy in Clarksville, TN. In the listing there was a large and small patch for the 69th Recon Tech Sqdrn. I got the small version and part of the group, but not all, AND...the large version wasn't included in the group. I contacted the guy, "oh my bad", and he sends me the rest of the group. And again, no large version. So my question, Did anyone get this? If so, let me know. You can see the large one in top right corner. Here is a picture of the small one I got.

I continued to contact the guy with lots of promises, but nothing. Oh, I'll find you another. Yeah right.

I have a soft spot for Clarksville, as that's where I lived when I was with the 101st. Miss me some Red's BBQ.

I"ve pretty much written it off. It was such a good patch, 1950's or early sixties from the image.

Rest easy. The patch looks like a reunion patch to me complete with a computer stitched field. There is no way that patch is from the 1950's. Add the fact that the patch has to be at least 8" in diameter makes me think that it was worn on the back of a jacket or something like that. You lost nothing my friend! If you check out usafpatches.com, you will find that originals were Japanese made.

I don't think it was 8 inch. I'll check your link. The small one is under 3 inches. It's more of the principle, that it wasn't sent. Maybe not 50's, but it was still a cool patch.

My bad, I put 69th in the title when it was actually 67th. Just with the simple google search and the info about their beginnings out of Louisianna (image of the gator makes sense), and the early jet helmet image, I thought it was older. BUT...I'll never know as I DON"T HAVE IT!
