aerialbridge Posted April 29, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 29, 2017 This brave senior citizen was a warrior and a hero as much as anyone ever decorated for bravery in combat. She gave her life this past Wednesday, April 26, 2017, defending her 61 year old friend when they were out for a walk and an 18 year, former high school football player and drop-out attempted to sexually assault the younger woman. Fusako Petrus tried to fight him off with her walking stick and he beat her to death. After sexually assaulting both women, the criminal was apprehended by Sacramento, CA police later that day when he was observed attempting to rape a 92 year old woman. Mrs. Petrus was the widow of Alfred Petrus, a USAF veteran who met her in Japan after WW2 and retired from the service in the mid 1960s. Until her retirement, she worked as a clerk at McClellan AFB (closed 2001) in the North Highlands area of Sacramento. Her husband passed away 20 years ago. Rest in Peace, dear lady, you are a Hero and may there be justice for your killer now and forever. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/elderly-woman-beat-attacker-walking-stick-death-47084051

cutiger83 Posted May 2, 2017 Share #6 Posted May 2, 2017 Yeah but what's really going to happen to the perp? Not what should happen that's for certain. Rape used to be a capital punishment. They need to make it a capital punishment again. Brave woman. May she rest in peace.

aerialbridge Posted May 31, 2017 Author Share #8 Posted May 31, 2017 2 .45 solution, need to get rid of these scum bags. I could not possibly agree with you more. The argument that capital punishment does not "deter" criminals is an outrageous lie. Capital punishment would 100% "deter" the incredibly monstrous scum bag that raped and killed this senior citizen from ever harming another person again. And save the taxpayers beaucoup bucks to house the vermin for the next 70 years. For anyone interested in the Sacramento CA vicinity there is a memorial on June 3 to this brave lady. A celebration of life will be held for family, friends and the community at the North Highlands Park & Recreation Community Center located at 6040 Watt Avenue Saturday June, 3 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Meals on Wheels by ACC, 7675 Park City Drive, Sacramento, CA 95831 would honor Fusako's caring of her friends and her enjoyment of a good meal. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/sacbee/obituary.aspx?pid=185310207
