Colonel Sanders Posted April 29, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 29, 2017 Hey guys, Just picked this up, but haven't been able to find an ID on it. I'm pretty sure it's composite based on the missiles, but besides that I haven't had too much luck. Thanks in advance!

ocsfollowme Posted April 29, 2017 Share #3 Posted April 29, 2017 Are those missiles? I think it was a 1950s patch.
Salvage Sailor Posted April 30, 2017 Share #4 Posted April 30, 2017 Are those missiles? I think it was a 1950s patch. They look like rockets to me, along with the bomb and eagle it says 'fighter/bomber' to my eye
Randy Posted April 30, 2017 Share #5 Posted April 30, 2017 Looks like it's over water, so maybe Navy related. Never saw this before Air Force wise, but especially between 45-55 all kinds of stuff went on, so you never know! Still, I would lean towards it being Navy. Colonel Sanders Posted May 1, 2017 Author Share #6 Posted May 1, 2017 Thanks for the replies! Here's a couple that sold in the past I could find. https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/usn-s-navy-wwii-flight-jacket-patch-1827630178 https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/usn-s-navy-wwii-flight-jacket-patch-1827634886 As far as the WWII/Korea distinction, I'm leaning towards Korea now, but HVAR rockets were used during WWII and VF-37 (http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/146580-ww2-squadron-patch/page-2) had rockets in there design so it's hard to say.
